Editing Data Objects

Editing Data Objects

You can edit the name and description properties of tables and flat files while viewing the tables and flat files.
  1. Open the
    Library
     workspace, and look up the data object from the
    Projects
     or
    Assets
     section.
    The Analyst tool displays the data objects in the asset list.
  2. Select a data object.
    The Analyst tool displays the data preview for the flat file or table on the
    Data Preview
     panel.
  3. Click the
    Properties
     tab to view the table or flat file properties in the
    Properties
     panel.
  4. From the Actions menu, click
    Edit
     to edit the data object.
    The
    Edit
    dialog box appears.
  5. Enter a name and an optional description.
    Optionally, for table data objects, enter an owner name.
  6. Click
    OK
    .
