You can generate a report for a mail carrier that certifies the address validation operations of the Address Validator transformation.
The report verifies that the address validation operations meet the standards of the mail carrier. For example, the United States Post Office (USPS) can certify a software engine that validates United States addresses to ZIP+4 Code level. The Address Validator transformation validates United States address to ZIP+4 Code level and can provide additional data that assists in mail sorting and delivery.
The Address Validator transformation generates reports for the following standards:
Address Machine Approval System (AMAS)
Australia Post defines the AMAS certification standard.
Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS)
The USPS defines the CASS certification standard.
SendRight
New Zealand Post defines the SendRight certification standard.
Software Evaluation and Recognition Program (SERP)
Canada Post defines the SERP certification standard.
A mail carrier can offer price discounts if you use certified software to validate address data.
When you provide mail items to the mail carrier, you submit a report with the list of mailing addresses. The report contains data about the organization. You enter the data when you configure the Address Validator transformation. The transformation writes the report file to a path that you specify.
You can use the Address Validator transformation to certify French address records to the National Address Management Service (SNA) certification standard. You do not generate a report for SNA address certification.
