You can use CDP Public Cloud when you run data engineering jobs on the Spark engine. When you run a mapping in the Hadoop environment, you can use the same connections for CDP Public Cloud as you can for CDP Private Cloud. You can configure Kerberos or Apache Knox authentication for CDP Public Cloud clusters.
