Oracle Database Requirements

Use the following guidelines when you set up the repository on Oracle:
  • Set the OPEN_CURSORS parameter to 4000 or higher.
    Verify that the database user has the following privileges:

      CREATE SEQUENCE

      CREATE SESSION

      CREATE SYNONYM

      CREATE TABLE

      CREATE VIEW

  • Informatica does not support Oracle public synonyms for repository tables. Verify that public synonyms have not been created for any tables in the database.
  • You can configure Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) to specify a connection to an Oracle service that is enabled with load balancing and high availability. Model Repository Service is resilient to the database failover in the Oracle RAC setup. You cannot perform administrator operations for the Informatica domain and Model Repository Service.
