To edit the general properties, select the PowerCenter Repository Service in the Navigator, select the

Properties

view, and then click

Edit

in the General Properties section.

The following table describes the general properties for the service:

Property	Description
Name	Name of the service. Consider the following guidelines when you name the service: It is not case-sensitive. It must be unique in the domain. It can't exceed 128 characters. It can't begin with @. It can't contain the following special characters: ` ~ % ^ * + = { } \ ; : ' " / ? . , < > \| ! ( ) ] [ You can't change the name of the service after you create it.
Description	Description of the service. It can't exceed 765 characters.
License	License object that allows use of the service.
Primary Node	Node on which the service runs. To assign the PowerCenter Repository Service to a different node, you must first disable the service.
