Step 2. Define Installation Settings

Step 2. Define Installation Settings

  1. In the
    Installation Directory
    section, enter the absolute path to the installation directory or accept the default directory, and then press
    Enter
    .
    The
    Installation Components
    section appears and displays a numbered list of the components to install.
  2. Enter a comma-separated list of numbers for the components to install or accept the default components:
    1-
    Data Integration Hub
    Installs the core
    Data Integration Hub
    application.
    Selected by default.
    2-
    Data Integration Hub
    Dashboard and Reports
    Installs the
    Data Integration Hub
    Dashboard and Reports component. You must install
    Data Integration Hub
    to install the Dashboard and Reports component.
    Cleared by default.
    • If you install the Dashboard and Reports component, you must import the operational data store event loader after you install
      Data Integration Hub
      .
    • If you install the Dashboard and Reports component, your
      Data Integration Hub
      and operational data store repositories are installed on Microsoft SQL Servers, and you use PowerCenter version 10, you must configure the repository connections in PowerCenter Workflow Manager. For details, see Configuring Repository Connections on PowerCenter Version 10.

    Server Plug-in for PowerCenter
    Installs the
    Data Integration Hub
    PowerCenter server plug-in component. After the installation, register the plug-in to the PowerCenter repository.
    Selected by default.
    4-
    Data Integration Hub
    Hadoop Service
    Connecting module between
    Data Integration Hub
    and the Hadoop cluster. Enables
    Data Integration Hub
    to perform operations on the Hadoop publication repository.
    Select this component if you want to define a Hadoop-based publication repository and manage some of your topics on Hadoop.
    The
    Data Integration Hub
    Hadoop Service must be installed on an edge node in the Hadoop cluster. Unless you are installing
    Data Integration Hub
    on a Hadoop edge node, do not select this component during
    Data Integration Hub
    installation. In this case, after you complete the
    Data Integration Hub
    installation, run the installation again on the edge node and select to install only the
    Data Integration Hub
    Hadoop Service component on the node.

    Data Engineering Integration/Informatica Data Quality
    Enables
    Data Integration Hub
    to use Data Engineering Integration and Data Quality mappings for custom publications and subscriptions.
    Select this component if you want to create custom publications and subscriptions that use Data Engineering Integration or Data Quality mappings in
    Data Integration Hub
    .
  3. Press
    Enter
    .
    The
    PowerCenter Version
    section appears.
  4. Select the PowerCenter version for which to install
    Data Integration Hub
    or accept the default selection:
    1- PowerCenter version below 10.2.0
    Select this option for PowerCenter versions below 10.2.0.
    2 - PowerCenter version 10.2.0 and above
    Select this option for PowerCenter versions 10.2.0 and above.
  5. Press
    Enter
    .
    The
    Metadata Repository
    section appears.
