Netezza Connection Options

Netezza Connection Options

Use connection options to define a Netezza connection.
Enter connection options in the following format:
... -o option_name=value option_name=value ...
To enter multiple options, separate them with a space. To enter a value that contains a space or other non-alphanumeric character, enclose the value in quotation marks.
The following table describes the Netezza connection options for
infacmd isp
 CreateConnection and UpdateConnection commands:
Option
Description
connectionString
Required. Name of the ODBC data source that you create to connect to the Netezza database.
jdbcUrl
Required. JDBC URL that the Developer tool must use when it connects to the Netezza database. Use the following format:
jdbc:netezza://<hostname>:<port>/<database name>
username
Required. User name with the appropriate permissions to access the Netezza database.
password
Required. Password for the database user name.
timeout
Required. Number of seconds that the Developer tool waits for a response from the Netezza database before it closes the connection.
