Remove the distribution packages from the backup location

Remove the distribution packages from the backup location

After you apply the hotfix, remove the distribution packages from the backup folder to mitigate the security vulnerabilities.
When you apply the hotfix, all the existing files in the Informatica installation directory are backed up. You need to remove the distribution packages backup from the following location:
<Informatica installation directory>\BACK_FROM_<hotfix version number>\clients\DeveloperClient\hadoop\<distribution package_version>
The following example shows the backup location for a distribution package when you apply the hotfix:
C:\Informatica\BACK_FROM_3\clients\DeveloperClient\hadoop\EMR_6.4
The deletion process doesn't remove all files of the distribution packages from the backup folder. Some files might still exist in the following location:
<Informatica installation directory>\BACK_FROM_<hotfix version number>\clients\DeveloperClient\
You can delete these files manually.
When you roll back the hotfix, distribution packages are not restored. You can't enable functionality associated with the Hadoop or Databricks distribution packages in the rolled-back version. To install the distribution packages, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.
