Roles and Privileges in the Administrator Tool

The Informatica administrator creates an account for the Glossary service administrator. A Glossary service administrator creates user accounts for Glossary administrators, stakeholders, owners, data stewards, Glossary consumers and assigns roles or privileges.

Custom Analyst Service Roles

You can assign the following custom role to users and groups in the Administrator tool:
Analyst Service Business Glossary Consumer
Provides users and groups the necessary permission and privilege to view the Glossary workspace in the Analyst tool. Assign this privilege to Glossary consumers who only view and who do not edit Glossary content.

Analyst Service Privileges

You can assign the following Analyst Service privileges to users and groups in the Administrator tool:
Manage Glossaries
User is able to manage the business glossary. Assign this privilege to Glossary service administrators.
Glossary Workspace
User is able to access the
Glossary
workspace. Assign this privilege to all users of Business Glossary.

Model Repository Service Privileges

You can assign the following Model Repository privileges to users and groups in the Administrator tool:
Access Analyst
User is able to access the Model repository from the Analyst tool. This privilege is required for all users who access the Glossary workspace. Assign this privilege to all users of Business Glossary.
