Logs

After the completion of
PowerCenter
deployment, consult logs to see the success or failure of solution element creation.
You can access the following logs on the virtual machine that hosts the Informatica domain:
Azure extension operation logs
Records the installation of Azure resources and services.
On Linux, you can find the file in the following location:
  • /var/log/azure/Microsoft.OSTCExtensions.CustomScriptForLinux/extension.log
    .
On Windows, you can find the file in the following location:
  • C:\Packages\Plugins\Microsoft.Compute.CustomScriptExtension\1.7\Status\0\0.status
    .
  • On Linux, the directory path
    /var/lib/waagent/Microsoft.OSTCExtensions.CustomScriptForLinux-1.5.4/download/0
    contains
    stdout
    and
    stderr
    logs. The directory also contains the file
    lininfainstaller.sh
    , which contains the script that was executed to install Azure resources and services.
  • On Windows, the directory path
    C:\Packages\Plugins\Microsoft.Compute.CustomScriptExtension\1.7\Downloads\0
    contains the file
    wininfainstaller.ps1
    , which contains the script that was executed to install Azure resources and services.
Command execution log
This log records the following events:
  • Creation of Informatica services.
  • Population of the domain and its repositories.
On Linux, you can find the file in the following location:
  • /opt/Oneclicksolution.log
    .
On Windows, you can find the file in the following location:
  • C:\Oneclicksolution.log
    .
Informatica domain and services configuration log
At the top of the log file is a summary section that lists automated tasks and their status. You can view the details about each task under the summary section. If any of the tasks failed complete successfully, you can look at the detailed section for the task to troubleshoot the task.
