Creating a Salesforce Connection in the Developer Tool

Use the Salesforce connection to connect to Salesforce from the Developer tool to import Salesforce data objects, preview data, or run mappings.
Perform the following steps to create a Salesforce connection in the Developer tool:
  1. Click
    Window
    Preferences
    .
  2. Select
    Informatica
    Connections
    .
  3. Expand the domain.
  4. Select
    Cloud
    Salesforce
    and click
    Add
    .
  5. When you set up a Salesforce connection, you can select the connection type as
    Standard
    or
    OAuth
    .The following table lists the properties for a standard connection:
    Connection Property
    Description
    Name
    Name of the Salesforce connection.
    ID
    The Data Integration Service uses the ID to identify the connection.
    Description
    Optional. The description of the connection.
    Location
    Informatica domain where you want to create the connection.
    Type
    Connection type. Select Salesforce.
    User Name
    User name for the Salesforce account.
    User Password
    Password for the Salesforce account.
    Service URL
    URL of the Salesforce service.
    For example,
    https://login.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/48.0
    The following table lists the properties for an OAuth connection:
    Connection Property
    Description
    Name
    Name of the OAuth connection.
    ID
    The Data Integration Service uses the ID to identify the connection.
    Description
    Optional. The description of the connection.
    Location
    Informatica domain where you want to create the connection.
    Type
    Connection type. Select OAuth.
    Service URL
    URL of the Salesforce service.
    For example,
    https://login.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/48.0
    Refresh Token
    The Refresh Token of Salesforce.
    Consumer Key
    The Consumer Key obtained from Salesforce, required to generate the Refresh Token. For more information about how to generate the Consumer Key, see the Salesforce documentation.
    Consumer Secret
    The Consumer Secret obtained from Salesforce, required to generate the Refresh Token. For more information about how to generate the Consumer Secret, see the Salesforce documentation.
  6. Click
    Test Connection
    to verify that you can connect to Salesforce.
  7. Click
    Finish
    .
