Configuring a Source Filter

Configuring a Source Filter

Configure a source filter from the Application Source Qualifier.
  1. In the Mapping Designer, double-click the Application Source Qualifier.
  2. Click the
    Microsoft Dynamics CRM Properties
    tab.
  3. Click the Browse button by the Source Filter field.
    The
    Edit Metadata Extension Value - Source Filter
    dialog box appears.
  4. Select the filter type.
    You can select AND or OR as the filter type.
  5. Click
    Add Type
    .
    The filter expression appears in the
    Filter Expression
    pane.
  6. Select the attribute on which you want to apply the filter.
    All the fields in the source definition are available for selection.
    When you join entities, select the attributes of the primary entity.
  7. Select the operator that you want to specify in the condition.
    The session fails if you provide an operator that is not valid for the attribute that you select.
  8. Enter a value for the condition.
  9. Click
    Add Condition
    .
    The condition appears in the
    Filter Expression
    pane.
    Ensure that the Filter Expression is of the following format:
    <filter type='<type>'> <condition attribute='<attribute name>' operator='<operator name>' value='<value>' /> <filter>
  10. Click
    OK
    .
