Understanding Secure Sockets Layer

Understanding Secure Sockets Layer

The PowerCenter Integration Service uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to manage the security of messages transmitted on the Web. SSL helps you achieve authentication, integrity, and privacy on the Web. It allows for secure communication between client and server by allowing mutual authentication, use of digital signatures on messages for integrity, and encryption for privacy.
