Importing a SAS Target Definition

When you import a SAS data object, the PowerCenter Client imports metadata from the SAS data dictionary that describes the data object. You can use the metadata to register the data object as a target definition in the repository.

Perform the following steps to import a SAS target definition:

Click

Targets

in the Target Designer.

Click

Import SAS Target

The

Import SAS Target

dialog box appears.

Select the SAS server that you want to use.

Enter the user name and password.

Click

Connect

Note:

You can click

Reconnect

to add or change SAS server definitions.

Expand the library nodes to access tables and views.

Select the table or view that you want to import.
