You can configure pass-through partitioning for Vertica sessions.

When you configure partitioning, the PowerCenter Integration Service runs multiple copy commands based on the number of partitions that you configured. For example, if you configured four partitions, the PowerCenter Integration Service creates four pipes, and runs four copy commands. It then writes data into four pipes. Each copy command reads from one pipe and writes the data to the Vertica target.

If you configure partitioning, the PowerCenter Integration Service creates the exception file and the rejected file for each partition. Similarly, in the session log, the PowerCenter Integration Service prints the load statistics such as the applied rows and affected rows for each partition.
