Configuring PowerExchange Connections

Configuring PowerExchange Connections

Configure PWXPC connections to data sources and targets. Use the connections in sessions that extract bulk data or change data from a relational or nonrelational source or that load bulk data to a relational or nonrelational target.
  1. In the Workflow Manager, connect to a PowerCenter repository.
  2. To configure a PWXPC relational connection, click
    Connections
    Relational
    .
    The
    Relational Connection Browser
    dialog box appears.
  3. To configure a PWXPC application connection, click
    Connections
    Application
    .
    The
    Application Connection Browser
    dialog box appears.
  4. In the
    Select Type
    field, select the specific type of connection.
  5. Click
    New
    .
    The
    Connection Object Definition
    dialog box appears.
  6. Enter values for the connection attributes.

  7. Click
    OK
    .
    The new connection appears in the Application or Relational Object Browser.
