Because a PowerExchange Listener is not involved, code page processing for DB2 registrations in local mode on

z/OS

does not trigger automatic SQL code page conversion. In this case, DTLUCBRG performs the required code page conversion and issues the following message:

Using codepage code_page_name (code_page_number for table names in DB2 subsystem subsystem.

Note that because DTLUCBRG uses connection pooling when using a PowerExchange Listener, performance is only slightly slower than when running locally.
