Error Handling for the DBMOVER Configuration File and PowerExchange License Key File

Error Handling for the DBMOVER Configuration File and PowerExchange License Key File

The PowerExchange Navigator might encounter an error during startup that is caused by an invalid DBMOVER configuration file or PowerExchange license key file.
When this situation occurs, the Navigator displays error messages, and the
Resource Configuration
dialog box appears. You can enter Navigator overrides in this dialog box box to override the paths for the DBMOVER configuration file or PowerExchange license key file.
Example: DBMOVER configuration file is not present
If the PowerExchange Navigator does not find the DBMOVER configuration file in its expected location, the Navigator displays error messages such as the following ones:
PWX-00268 DBAPI Error. DB_OPEN failed for file C:\pwx\dbmover.cfg. PWX-07406 Permanent error set by Open call on file "C:\pwx\dbmover.cfg" because API wfopen() failed. Mode rb.
Example: DBMOVER configuration file contains errors
If the DBMOVER configuration file contains errors, the PowerExchange Navigator might display error messages such as the following ones:
PWX-00961 Input error. File "##DTLCFG". Statement 1. Line 19. PWX-00968 Error "NODEa=" sublist limit exceeded. Position 1.
Example: PowerExchange license key file is not present
If the PowerExchange Navaigator does not find the license key file in its expected location, the Navigator displays error messages such as the following ones:
PWX-00113 KEY Error - failed to open license key file. PWX-00268 DBAPI Error. DB_OPEN failed for file C:\pwx\license.key. PWX-23532File name was converted from ANSI to Unicode. PWX-00150DBAPI SEQ Filename “C:\pwx\license.key” Open error reason 2 <No such file or directory>. PWX-07406 Permanent error set by Open call on file "C:\pwx\license.key" because API wfopen() failed. Mode rb.
Example: PowerExchange license key has expired
If the PowerExchange license key has expired, the Navigator displays error messages such as the following ones:
PWX-00115 KEY Error - license has expired. Key=2016-01-31, current=2017-03-02. PWX-00115 KEY Error - license has expired. Key=2016-01-31, current=2017-03-02.
Example: PowerExchange license key file is illegal
If the PowerExchange license key is illegal, the Navigator displays error messages such as the following ones:
PWX-00121 KEY Error - Not licensed for navigator feature. PWX-00111KEY Error - key length must be 44 or 64
