Configuring PowerExchange CDC with PowerExchange Condense

Configuring PowerExchange CDC with PowerExchange Condense

If you plan to use PowerExchange Condense, use this procedure to configure PowerExchange CDC.
  1. Configure the DBMOVER configuration file.
    Include the following statements:
    • CPX_DIR
    • AS4J CAPI_CONNECTION
    • UOWC CAPI_CONNECTION
Optionally, specify the AS400EVENTMSGQ and AS400USRJRNCODE statements.
For more information about these DBMOVER statements, see Summary of DBMOVER Parameters for CDC.
  2. Configure the PowerExchange Condense CAPTPARM configuration member.
For parameter descriptions, see PowerExchange Condense Configuration Parameters.
  3. In the PowerExchange Navigator, create a capture registration for each DB2 source table.
    In the
    Condense
    list, select
    Part
    or
    Full
. For more information about creating capture registrations, see the
    PowerExchange Navigator User Guide
    .
When you complete a registration, the PowerExchange Navigator generates a corresponding extraction map.
If capture registrations already exist for the source tables, delete these registrations and their corresponding extraction maps. Then register the tables again.
  4. For each capture registration, set the
    Status
    field to
    Active
    .
  5. Start PowerExchange Condense.
Next, configure the change data extractions to run in batch extraction mode.
