Password for netport job <
listener_node_name
> must be eight characters or less in length.
The password for the netport job that uses the specified PowerExchange Listener node name is too long. As a result, the netport job fails to start. The password is specified in a PowerCenter® or PowerExchange client for connection to a source or target location. Passwords can be no longer than eight characters in length. Passphrases, which can be longer, are not supported for netport jobs.
The PowerExchange Listener acquires the socket again buts takes no further action on behalf of the netport job.
Check the security credentials that are specified on the client for the source or target location. For example, check the password that is specified in the PowerCenter NRDB connection attributes or check the location that is reported in client message PWX-01251. Also verify that the netport JCL member name in the NETPORT statement in the DBMOVER configuration member is correct.
