PowerExchange Command Syntax Conventions

The following table describes the conventions that this manual uses to indicate the proper command syntax:

Convention	Description	Example
Monospaced font	Indicates the lines that are part of the general syntax or command example.	F `job_name`,FILESWITCH
Italics	Indicates a variable for which you enter a specific value.	DSName=data_set_name
Square brackets ([ ])	Indicates an optional parameter or subparameter.	F job_name ,CLOSE [FORCE]
A vertical bar (\|), also called a pipe , between items	Indicates that you enter only one of the items.	DEBUG=ON\|OFF
A comma (,) between items	Indicates that you can enter more than one item.	{STARBA='rba ',ENDRBA=x'rba '}
Curly brackets ({ }), also called braces , around multiple items	Indicates that you must enter at least one of the items within the brackets.	COPY={PRILOG\|SECLOG}
