GET_TIMEZONE

Returns the time zone value from a given timestamp with time zone column.

For example:

String TimeZone = GET_TIMEZONE (timestampWithTZ);

The output port must be of the String data type for the GET_TIMEZONE expressions.

Syntax

GET_TIMEZONE (timestamp_with_timezone_value)

The following table describes the arguments for this command:

Argument	Required/ Optional	Description
timestamp_with_timezone_value	Required	Must be a timestamp with time zone data type. You can enter any valid transformation expression.

Return Value

Returns a String data type containing the time zone region name or a time zone offset.

NULL if the input is a null value.

Example
