  1. On the
    Resource Explorer
     pane, right-click the data map and select
    Add Record
     .
    Right-click on database shows Add Record... menu option
    The
    Add Record
     dialog box appears.

  2. Enter a name for the record and click
    OK
    The
    Record - <record name>
     window appears.
  3. Right-click the record and select
    Add Field at End
    .
    Right-click on record shows Add Field at End... menu option
    The
    Add Field
     dialog box appears.

  4. Enter a column or field name.
  5. Select the datatype, precision, scale, and length.
  6. Click
    OK
    .
  7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each column in the flat file.
