Overview

In Dynamic Data Masking version 9.8.4, the default masking functionality is a new functionality that enhances the previous masking functionality in multiple ways. To apply masking, the new default masking functionality modifies some SQL statements in a different way than in previous versions, which used the old masking functionality by default.
The following table shows the differences between versions and masking functionalities:
