Installation and Upgrade

Installation and Upgrade

Effective in version 10.4.0, the Test Data Management installer has the following changes:
  • You can run the 10.4.0 installer to install Test Data Management to work with Data Engineering and traditional products. While you can install traditional products in the same domain with Data Engineering products, Informatica recommends that you install the traditional products in separate domains.
  • You can run the 10.4.0 installer to upgrade from Test Data Management that you use with Data Engineering products and Test Data Management that you use with traditional products.
Perform the following steps to install or upgrade to Test Data Management (TDM) 10.4.0:
  1. Install or upgrade to Informatica service 10.4.0.
  2. Apply the required Informatica EBFs.
  3. Use the TDM installer to install or upgrade to TDM 10.4.0.
You can upgrade from the following versions:
Traditional products
You can upgrade from versions 10.2.0 HotFix 1 or 10.2.0 HotFix 2. If you are on a version earlier than TDM 10.2.0 HotFix 1 for traditional products, you must first upgrade to 10.2.0 HotFix 1.
Data Engineering products
You can upgrade from version 10.2.2. If you are on a version earlier than 10.2.2 for Data Engineering products, you must first upgrade to 10.2.2.
See the corresponding upgrade guide for information about how to upgrade to the required version.

Informatica EBFs

You must apply the following Informatica EBFs before you install or upgrade to Test Data Management 10.4.0:

    EBF16769

    EBF16981

    EBF17012

You can download the EBFs from the following location on the https://tsftp.informatica.com/ page:
/updates/Informatica10/10.4.0
.
