Managing the Workflow Overview

In this lesson, you must generate and run the workflow to populate the data in the target database. You can monitor the progress of the workflow tasks.

Lesson Concepts

When you start a workflow, the PowerCenter Integration Service performs the plan operations. Generate a workflow from the plan to create PowerCenter mappings to perform data subset and data masking operations. You can monitor the workflow and session logs for a job. After you run the workflow, you can view the subset of the data with masked columns in the target database.

In this lesson, you perform the following tasks:
  • Generate a workflow for the plan that you created.
  • Run the workflow.
  • Monitor the workflow.
