TDM Repository Database Requirements

TDM Repository Database Requirements

Before you create the service, set up a database and user account for the TDM repository.
When you create the Test Data Manager Service, you provide the database and user account information to create the TDM repository. The service uses JDBC to connect to the database and create the repository.
You can create the TDM repository on one of the following databases:
  • Oracle
  • IBM DB2
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • PostgreSQL
Consider the following rules and guidelines before you set up the database and user account for the TDM repository:
  • Allocate at least 35 MB disk space or more based on the number of objects you plan to store.
  • To prevent database errors from affecting other repositories, create the TDM repository in a separate database schema and with a separate database user account.
