Schedule an update

Schedule an update

You can schedule the update to run at an appropriate date and time. You can change the schedule after you set it. For mandatory updates, the scheduled date and time must be before the due date.
You can schedule one update at a time. When you create a new schedule, existing update schedules for other versions will be deleted. After the domain update begins, any unavailable nodes will not be updated. To update these nodes manually, contact Informatica Global Customer Support.
  1. On the
    Explore
    page, select a domain to open the
    Domain Details
    page.
    The update status in the
    Version and Update
    section indicates whether an update is available.
  2. Click
    Manage Updates and Patches
    .
    The
    Manage Updates and Patches for <domain name>
    page appears. This pages displays the domain display name and the current version of the domain.
  3. Select
    Update to latest version
    to update your domain to the latest recommended version, and click
    Next
    .
    The
    View Update Plan
    page appears and displays the recommended version for your domain update.
    • Nodes
      . Displays the list of nodes that requires update.
    • Services
      . Displays the status of the CDI-PC services before and after the domain update.
    • Patches
      . Displays the list of EBFs applied to the domain during installation, any patch to be applied to the domain, or any patch that you might want to remove from the domain.
  4. Click
    Next
    to schedule an update or click
    Update Domain
    to start the update.

  5. On the
    Schedule Update
    page, choose from one of the available options, and click
    Update Domain
    .
    • Click
      Run now
      , enter the domain credentials, and click
      Update Domain
    • Click
      Run later
      , select a date, time, and time zone, and then click
      Schedule Update
      .
    For mandatory updates, dates after the due date appear unavailable.
    You can choose from a range of times at 30-minute intervals.
    The update status on the
    Domain Details
    page changes to
    Update Scheduled
    . If you previously scheduled another update, it gets cancelled.
  6. To modify the schedule, you can repeat the steps and change the date and time.
