Mappings in SQL ELT mode

Create a mapping in SQL ELT mode when you want the mapping logic to be processed by your cloud ecosystem.

When you run a mapping in SQL ELT mode,

Data Integration

translates the transformation logic into ecosystem-specific SQL statements and commands that run in the underlying cloud data warehouse. This increases the data processing speed because the data isn't moved out of the cloud infrastructure for processing. It also makes the data integration pipelines more efficient.

When you create a mapping in SQL ELT mode, you can read from and write to the following sources and targets:

You can read data from your Snowflake data warehouse and write it to the same cloud data warehouse.
You can read data from a Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 or Amazon S3 data lake and write it to your Snowflake data warehouse.
