This tutorial describes the steps to configure parameterized Data Vault task templates
available in
Data Integration
. For this tutorial we have raw customer data that we want to link
to order data while tracking changes to each record. To do this, we use the Data Vault
mapping task templates.
You have a landing table in a Snowflake Data Cloud database that contains raw customer
data. You need to generate business keys in the landing table and load them to a hub
table, H_CUSTOMER. You then need to link the H_CUSTOMER hub with the hub table H_ORDERS,
and load the relationship to the link table LINK_ORDER_CUSTOMER. Finally, you want to
load customer metadata to the satellite table S_CUSTOMER and track historical changes to
the data.
