You can override a field set configuration with another field set configuration. The field set configuration that you used to override can be the default configuration, a user-configured configuration, or an overridden configuration.
For example, if you override the Lead Address Fields field set with the Lead Convert Fields field set, the Lead Address Fields field set contains the fields of the Lead Convert Fields field set. If you override the Lead Convert Fields field set with the Lead List Fields field set, the Lead Address Fields field set contains the fields of the Lead List Fields field set.
If you override the search field set of a standard or custom Salesforce object with a custom field set and you have record type enabled for you organization, do not add the Record Type field to the search field set as the object search field sets have the record type field configured.
