Validating the Database Schema

Validating the Database Schema

Use the schema validation utility to validate the database schema for any errors. The utility identifies the customized
Customer 360
resources and the custom objects that do not conform to the naming guidelines. Manually fix the errors before you upgrade
Customer 360
.
The page is applicable for versions up to 10.4 HotFix 2 of MDM Customer 360.
  1. Open a command prompt, and go to the following directory:
    <MDM installation directory>/app/tcr/bin
  2. Run the following command:
    • On Windows.
      validate-schema-tcr.bat
    • On UNIX.
      validate-schema-tcr.sh
  3. At the prompts, enter the following parameters:
    Parameter
    Description
    MDM Hub installation directory
    Fully qualified path to the directory where you installed MDM Hub.
    MDM - Customer 360 installation directory
    Fully qualified path to the directory that contains the Customer 360 files.
    Customer 360 Operational Reference Store
    Database ID of the
    Customer 360
    Operational Reference Store.
    MDM Hub user name
    MDM Hub user name to access the
    Customer 360
    Operational Reference Store.
    Password
    Password for the user name.
    WebLogic Console Password
    Required if you use the WebLogic application server.
  4. To validate another database schema, press
    y
    , and enter the following parameters:

    Description
    Customer 360 Operational Reference Store
    Database ID of the
    Customer 360
    Operational Reference Store.
    MDM Hub user name
    MDM Hub user name to access the
    Customer 360
    Operational Reference Store.
    Password
    Password for the user name.
  5. If you do not want to validate another database schema, press
    n
