MDM-RE relies on the standard facilities of the host DBMS to maintain integrity of its tables and indexes.

The Rulebase tables and indexes must be stored on the same database as the MDM-RE Tables so that the rules are kept in synch with the data in case the database is restored and/or repaired using a DBMS utility.

System rules within a Rulebase may be backed up and restored using the MDM-RE Console Export and Import functions.

These functions transfer the rules to/from an operating system file. The file can then be saved (for off-site backup purposes) or used to transfer the rules to another Rulebase.
