Installing the Process Server

Installing the Process Server

You can install the Process Server using an installation wizard, a silent installation script, or, on UNIX systems, a command line script. If you complete the pre-installation tasks and collect the information you need before you start the installer, the installation process takes about 15 minutes.

The installation will fail if you do not complete the pre-installation tasks before you run the installer.
Installation Readiness Checklist
  • Created an MDM implementation plan.
  • Verified that your servers meet the system requirements.
  • Verified that your operating system and software versions are supported.
  • Reviewed the known limitations for your operating system and software versions.
  • Installed and configured a supported version of an application server.
  • Installed and configured a supported version of a database management system.
  • Performed the pre-installation configuration tasks for your environment.
  • Saved the MDM license file in an accessible location.
If you missed a task, go back to the preceding chapters for help in completing the task.
When you are ready to proceed, perform the following steps:
  1. Review the installation workflow.
  2. Collect all the values to enter during the installation.
  3. Begin the installation by using the installation wizard or the command line, or in the silent mode.
