Effective in version 10.5 HotFix 4, support
for Oracle WebLogic in MDM is deferred and is unavailable.
Oracle WebLogic
Oracle WebLogic is postponed because a version that supports both Java 17 and
Jakarta EE 10 is not yet available. Support remains deferred until Oracle releases a
corresponding compatible version. Informatica will provide support in future MDM
releases upon its availability.
User Advisory
If you are using Oracle WebLogic,
upgrade to MDM 10.4 HotFix 4 won't be feasible post-release.
You can opt to continue with the
current version of MDM, or consider upgrading to MDM 10.5 HotFix 3, which supports
Java 8 and remains compatible with Oracle WebLogic.
Projected Developments
Informatica is committed to
offering support for Oracle WebLogic in future MDM releases upon the release of
Java 17 and Jakarta EE 10 compatible versions.
You will be able to upgrade to
the subsequently supported MDM versions as soon as they become available.
You can install the MDM Hub in an Oracle WebLogic cluster environment or on standalone
WebLogic instances. Install and configure WebLogic according to the instructions in the
WebLogic documentation.
There are some known limitations with how
Multidomain MDM
interacts with some Oracle WebLogic versions, including version 12.2.1.3. Before you begin, see the "Installation and Upgrade" chapter of the
Multidomain MDM Release Notes
.
Before you install the Hub Server and the
Process Server
on the WebLogic application server, create WebLogic domains. Use the WebLogic Administration console to create domains for the Hub Server and the
Process Server
applications. For more information, see the WebLogic documentation.
Install the application server in the same time zone as the database server.
