Task Administrator Role

Task Administrator Role

Data Director
users can manage multiple tasks by performing task administration actions, such as assigning, releasing, or editing tasks. All users can manage tasks available to their user role, while users assigned the Task Administrator role can manage all tasks. For example, users can release their assigned tasks, while task administrators can release all assigned tasks.
Task administrators cannot work on tasks or view task details. If you assign users multiple roles, they might be able to manage tasks, work on tasks, and view task details. For example, you can assign an user the following
MDM Hub
roles: Data Steward, abAdmin, and abadmin. The user can work on and manage tasks available to Data Stewards and manage all tasks as a task administrator. For more information about the MDM Hub roles, see the

To use the Task Administrator role, you enable the role and specify the
MDM Hub
role that you want to map to the Task Administrator role.
The following table lists the task administration actions available to user roles:

Users can perform the following task administration actions on all tasks:
  • Assign
  • Release
  • Edit
Other user roles
Users can perform the following task administration actions on tasks available to their user role:
  • Claim
Users can perform the following task administration actions on tasks based on whether they are assigned the tasks:
  • Release
  • Edit
  • Task actions, such as Accept, Reject, or Disclaim
The available task actions depend on the selected tasks and your ActiveVOS workflows.
