Comprehensive Centralized Policy Decision

Comprehensive Centralized Policy Decision

The
MDM Hub
can control protected resources internally but accept roles and privileges assigned from an external directory.
The following image shows a security deployment in which role definition and privilege assignment occur externally to the
MDM Hub
. The figure also shows that user accounts, groups, user profiles, and role assignment occur externally to the
MDM Hub
:
An illustration showing role and privilege assignment handled externally to the MDM Hub. External to the MDM Hub, users and groups can perform role assignment, which leads to the creation of external roles and privilege assignment. The MDM Hub handles the protected resources and Hub objects. The MDM Hub allows external users to access protected resources through SIF synchronization operations.
In this scenario, the
MDM Hub
simply exposes the protected resources using external proxies, which are synchronized with the internally protected resources using
Services Integration Framework
requests. All policy decisions are external to the
MDM Hub
.
