Effective in version 10.3, the search functionality in Data Director that used Apache Solr is deprecated. Informatica will drop support for search with Solr in a future release. You can use search with Elasticsearch to find records in Data Director. Elasticsearch is an open-source, full-text search engine.

You must configure search with Elasticsearch, which is packaged with the MDM Hub installer. You can set up Elasticsearch as a single node cluster or as a multi-node cluster to provide distributed indexing and search. For a smooth transition, the APIs that were supported for search with Apache Solr are supported for search with Elasticsearch.
