These features apply to unmerging contributing records from within a single base object. There is a hierarchy of merges consisting of a root (top of the tree, or BVT), branches (merged records), and leaves (the original contributing records at end of the branches). This hierarchy can be many levels deep.

In your job execution script, you can specify the type of unmerge (linear or tree unmerge) by setting IN_TREE_UNMERGE_IND:

IN_TREE_UNMERGE_IND=0: Default setting. Linear Unmerge
IN_TREE_UNMERGE_IND=1: Tree Unmerge
