The Custom Service API provides a set of classes that you can extend to develop pluggable custom services. RulePoint uses the OSGi-based framework to load the custom services in the design-time and run-time environment. The OSGi framework provides you with the flexibility to dynamically load services when the system is running.

When you use the RulePoint SDK to create a custom service that service appears on the user interface of the RulePoint application.
