Fast Completion Mode

Fast Completion Mode

You can use fast completion (FASTCOMPLETION) mode to receive address suggestions as you type. Use fast completion mode to generate suggestions based on truncated input.
Fast completion mode is particularly useful when you need to enter address data in real time, for example as you receive it from customers. In fast completion mode, you can retrieve suggestions for partial address inputs. Because fast completion mode is optimized to verify truncated inputs, the initial letters of an address input are important in fetching the best results.
In fast completion mode, you can enter
AddressElement
items as fielded input. You cannot use
AddressLine
input formats such as
FormattedAddressLine
or
DeliveryAddressLine
. However, you can use the
AddressComplete
element to verify addresses from countries that support single-line address verification.
You can receive up to 100 suggestions for an input address in fast completion mode. The
MaxResultCount
parameter value determines the maximum number of address suggestions that Address Verification can return. The default value for
MaxResultCount
is 20. You can set the value in
SetConfig.xml
or in
Parameters.xml
.
If you set
MaxResultCount
values in both
SetConfig.xml
and
Parameters.xml
, Address Verification uses the lower of the two values.
