Informatica Address Verification reads the DataSetDetermination element to identify the data file to use in an address verification job. Find the element in the
AVJob.schema.json
file.
To select a data file, set the DataSet property in the DataSetDetermination element. In the DataSet property, specify the country name, the data set ID, and the sub type of the data file.
The DataSetDetermination element works in the following ways:
  • When you run an address job, Address Verification looks for the data file name on the DataSetDetermination element. You can specify the file name.
  • If you do not specify a data file, and if the country directory contains a single file that matches the processing mode, Address Verification uses that file.
  • If you do not specify a data file for processing and the directory contains multiple data files, Address Verification uses the data file with the default data set ID. In this case, if the directory does not contain the data file with default data set ID, Address Verification returns an error and does not process the address.
The default data set ID varies for each country.
  • If multiple eligible data files are present in the country directory, you must select the data file that Address Verification will use. For example, the Canada directory might contain the following batch/interactive data files:
    • CAN_ADV_VRF_BIA_000_6_1_0.MD6
    • CAN_ADV_VRF_BIA_001_6_1_0.MD6
    • CAN_ADV_VRF_BIA_002_6_1_0.MD6
You must specify the Canada file to use in this case.
  • If you specify a data file and the directory does not contain the file that you specified, Address Verification returns an error and does not process the address.
