Match Status

Match Status

The MatchStatus property describes the level of similarity between each data element in the input address and the corresponding element that the reference data files store for the address. Address Verification returns a discrete match status code for every address data element.
The following table describes the match status values:

The input element does not contain any data from the user.
1
The reference data does not contain the input address element for the country as a whole or for specific address, locality, and street.
2
The reference data does not contain a match for the input element value, and the input address does not contain enough verifiable elements to permit an estimate of a correct value for the element.
3
The reference data does not contain a match for the input element value, and Address Verification cannot correct the value. Address Verification rejects the address.
4
The input element value partially matches the reference data.
