Viewing Run-time Objects

Viewing Run-time Objects

Connect to a run-time application to view read-only copies of run-time objects in a deployed application.
The following image shows a run-time application in the
Object Explorer
view:
The image shows the Object Explorer view in the Developer tool. The view shows a domain, a Data Integration Service in the domain, and a run-time application on the Data Integration Service. The run-time application is expanded to show a project that contains physical data objects, mappings, and the application itself.
You can open the run-time objects in the
Editor
to verify that the application or application patch was deployed correctly. After you redeploy an application or deploy an application patch, you can refresh the run-time application to view the updated objects.
You can also reference the run-time objects while you are editing the corresponding design-time objects based on the results of testing or new release requirements. Because a run-time object is isolated from changes in data structures in the corresponding design-time object, you can continue editing the design-time object without altering the run-time object.
