Configure the Informatica Domain to Use Advanced Ciphers

If you want to use advanced cipher suites that use AES-256 to provide a higher level of security, you must replace the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) policy files installed with the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) on each node in the domain with the unlimited strength JCE policy files. The unlimited strength JCE policy files contain no restrictions on cryptographic strengths.
  1. Download the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 8 archive.
  2. Shut down the domain.
  3. Go to the following directory on the domain node:
    <Informatica installation directory>\java\jre\lib\security\
  4. Replace the following JAR files with the JAR files extracted from the archive:
    • local_policy.jar
    • US_export_policy.jar
  5. Restart the domain.
