Virtual Table Properties

Virtual Table Properties

Configure whether to cache virtual tables for an SQL data service and configure how often to refresh the cache. You must disable the SQL data service before configuring virtual table properties.
The following table describes the configurable virtual table properties:
Property
Description
Enable Caching
Cache the virtual table in the data object cache database.
Cache Refresh Period
Number of minutes between cache refreshes.
Cache Table Name
The name of the user-managed table from which the Data Integration Service accesses the virtual table cache. A user-managed cache table is a table in the data object cache database that you create, populate, and manually refresh when needed.
If you specify a cache table name, the Data Object Cache Manager does not manage the cache for the object and ignores the cache refresh period.
If you do not specify a cache table name, the Data Object Cache Manager manages the cache for the object.
