Monitoring REST API Overview

Monitoring REST API Overview

You can monitor statistics retrieved through the REST API.
With the REST API, you can get the mapping execution statistics for Big Data Management mappings that run on the Data Integration Service or the Blaze or Spark engines. You can get mapping statistics, mapping advanced statistics, mapping execution steps, and mapping execution plans.
Before you use the REST APIs, identify the client or the programming language that you want to use to call the REST APIs. Ensure that you start the REST Operations Hub Service to use the REST APIs. Enable the monitoring Model Repository Service to get data from the REST APIs.
You need to enter the mapping jobID as input to the REST API to get the mapping execution statistics. Monitoring REST API requires user name, password encrypted with the pmpasswd command line program, and security domain to connect to the Informatica domain to get the monitoring execution statistics. You can pass the Informatica domain user name, password, and security domain as headers during the REST API.
You can use the following REST APIs to get the mapping execution statistics:
  • MappingStats
  • MappingAdvancedStats
  • MappingExecutionSteps
  • MappingExecutionPlans
