Keyboard Shortcuts for Objects

You can use keyboard shortcuts to work with objects that are in the editor.
When you select an object in the editor, you can change the appearance of the object and move the object. When an object is selected, a green border appears around the object. A dotted line also appears around a selected object indicating that the object is in focus. You can focus on an object while allowing other objects to be selected. Move the focus from a selected object to another object when you want to select multiple objects in the editor.
The navigation order of objects in the editor is from top to bottom and left to right.
You can perform the following tasks with keyboard shortcuts:
Select an object.
When the editor is selected, press
Tab
. The object is also in focus. Press
Tab
again to select the next object.
Select the previous object.
Press
Shift+Tab
.
Find a particular object.
Press
Ctrl+O
.
Focus on the next object.
When an object is in focus, press
Ctrl+Tab
to move the focus to the next object. The previous object remains selected. Press
Ctrl+Tab
again to focus on the next object.
Select multiple objects individually.
When an object is in focus, press
Ctrl+Tab
to move the focus to the next object that you want to select. Then press
Ctrl+Spacebar
to select the focused object. Repeat these steps to select multiple objects individually.
Iconize selected objects.
Press
Ctrl+I
.
Restore selected objects.
Press
Ctrl+R
.
Resize selected objects.
Press and hold
Ctrl+Shift
, and then use the
Up
,
Down
,
Left
, and
Right
arrow keys.
Move selected objects.
Use the arrow keys to move one or more objects one pixel at a time in any direction.
Go from an object to the editor.
When one or multiple objects are selected or in focus, press
Esc
.
