Asset Enhancements

Read this section to learn what's new for assets in Enterprise Data Catalog.

Export asset relationships: You can export the asset relationships from the Relationships view in the Enterprise Data Catalog tool.
The type of asset relationships in the Relationships view depends on the asset opened in the Relationships view. You can also export the asset relationships from the REST API.

Filter for tables and views: You can use the Allow Filtering option to filter tables and views for unique key inference.

Add description to assets: In the Overview tab of assets such as tables, views, or files, you can add descriptions to columns or fields. Hovering over the existing description enables you to view the complete description.
