Synchronize users and user groups
MetaDex automatically synchronizes users and user groups in Enterprise Data Catalog every two hours. Additionally, you can manually synchronize users and user groups using the
Synchronize
option on the
Authentication Sync
tab in MetaDex.
The
Authentication Sync
tab is available on the
Permission Management
menu in the MetaDex tool.
Exclude files from resource metadata scan
You can exclude files from the resource metadata scan using the
-DexcludeFile
custom option. The custom option is applicable only for Amazon S3 V2 and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 V2 resources.

SAP BODS MetaDex scanner

Effective in version 10.5.3.0.2, the SAP BODS MetaDex scanner includes the following features:
Configuring SAP BODS with R/3 application type
You can use the SAP BODS MetaDex scanner to process R/3 application metadata sources or targets.
Processing MySQL metadata sources
You can process MySQL metadata sources using the SAP BODS MetaDex scanner.
Processing file locations of Microsoft Azure Data Lake Store
You can process file locations of Microsoft Azure Data Lake Store using the SAP BODS MetaDex scanner.

Mapping and statement assets

Effective in version 10.5.3.0.2, the mapping and statement assets include the following enhancements:
Viewing controlling assets
You can view the assets that control the mapping or statement assets in the data flow on the
Asset Control Summary
tab in the Enterprise Data Catalog tool.
Viewing lineage for mapping and statement assets
In the Enterprise Data Catalog tool, you can view the transformation-level lineage for mapping and statement assets on the
Lineage and Impact
tab.
There might be more lineage outside the selected view for the mapping and statement assets.
